About OUR CSA
As a Milkweed Farm CSA member, you pre-purchase a share of produce from our farm and for 21 weeks, roughly mid-May through mid-October, we supply you with a fresh and delicious assortment of vegetables each week.
We work hard to cultivate over 100 varieties of vegetables. You can expect a wide selection of seasonal food from snap peas to heirloom tomatoes to leeks, squash, and broccoli.
Our CSA is a “Free Choice” model.
Free Choice!
On pickup days we set up a farmer’s market-like spread with an array of options and every week you choose what you want to eat. Each week members choose a set number of “items” depending on the size of their share. An “item” might be a bunch of kale, a pint of mushrooms, several pounds of root vegetables, or a bag of fresh salad greens.
Share Sizes
Milkweed Farm CSA Shares come in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. Small Shares (4 items) are good for 1-2 people who want to select their own vegetables to supplement their garden or regular grocery shopping. Medium Shares (6 items) are good for a small household who wants to select their own vegetables to round out their garden harvest and/or regular shopping. Large Shares (8 items) are our most robust share giving members the most vegetables. Large Shares are great for vegans, families, or anybody who likes to freeze/can/preserve the “extra.”
We love to share the abundance of our fields as much as possible and you will find that we offer unlimited amounts of certain vegetables at different points in the season.
We’ve found that our members love this “free choice” model because they only take home vegetables they really want to eat and/or are excited to try.

We love growing heirloom varieties with interesting stories that we can share with our members!
Each week you’ll receive an email with some tidbits about the food available for the upcoming week and updates about what has been going on in the fields.
-
Your share directly supports our farm and family. Our CSA provides the farmers with their livelihood and pays the wages of our employees.

“Our family has had CSAs with many farms over the years, and Milkweed Farm’s CSA is far and away the best. The quality is always high, the produce is fresh, and it's a perfect mix of well-known, dependable varieties and seasonal surprises.”
